I’m Dr Karin and I can’t wait to meet you and your family!
I have been a GP since 2011 and I love my job. I’m passionate about holistic health care and providing health care guidance which is unique to each patient.
I believe that to be fulfilled it’s important to be physically, mentally and spiritually well. I am happy to see patients of all ages- from newborns to those in their senior years.

Special interests
Paediatrics
I have almost 10 years’ experience in paediatric wards and clinics in both South Africa and the United Kingdom, treating children from birth to adolescence. This breadth of experience across settings and healthcare systems means I’ve managed a wide range of childhood illnesses, from routine to complex.
I genuinely enjoy working with children — I try to make every consultation feel unrushed and non-frightening
I also support mothers through the MOM SQUAD WhatsApp group — see Maternal Mental Health for details, or contact the practice to join.
Minor Surgery
I regularly assess and remove skin lesions, including moles, lipomas, sebaceous cysts, and small skin cancers, with careful attention to cosmetic outcome and minimising scarring.
Where a lesion needs specialist surgical or oncological input, I refer appropriately.
Long Covid & Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS)
Long Covid and ME/CFS can be isolating conditions — patients are often frustrated by a loss of function they didn’t choose, and by a medical system still catching up to what they’re experiencing. I take these conditions, and my patients seriously.
I actively track emerging research in this fast-moving field so that the care I offer reflects current evidence, not outdated assumptions. My approach combines medical management with practical strategies and ongoing emotional support through the recovery process.
I’ve spoken publicly and appeared in media on Long Covid and ME/CFS, and I run a WhatsApp support group for patients who want continued connection and guidance between appointments.
Post Partum Depression
Becoming a mother — for the first time or the fourth — brings enormous change, and it’s not unusual for that change to come with anxiety, low mood, or a sense of losing yourself in the process. As a mother myself, I understand this territory both personally and clinically.
I support mothers through postnatal depression, anxiety, and the broader adjustment to motherhood, whatever number child this is for you.
I also run a WhatsApp support group for mothers, called MOM SQUAD, for those who want ongoing connection and support beyond the consultation room
Having said all this, I’m a very good generalist and love to treat the whole family. Singles are very welcome too. My philosophy is that together we can get to the bottom of every medical challenge.
